THE CHALLENGE
Champlain Tours is a Vermont based tour agency focused on small group travel and custom tours. They were in need of a modern new website where they could showcase their tours and services, more easily communicate with customers, and accept bookings and payment. While we were chatting with Champlain tours we discovered that they also needed some updated branding that would more effectively resonate with their clientele and eventually they would need some digital marketing solutions to increase awareness and promote more tour signups.

BRANDING STRATEGY
First we sat down with Champlain Tours and had an in-depth conversation to more fully understand their business – past, present, and future. When Champlain Tours was first founded, it was expected that the owners dog, McEnroe, would be adventuring alongside the customers on each tour. McEnroe quickly became the de facto mascot, and beloved travel companion. McEnroe has since passed, but his spirit lives on with Champlain Tours.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
Now that we had a more complete understanding of Champlain Tour business, we then went to work creating a more modern design with a retro flare to appeal to their slightly older audience demographic. We also built a multi-page visual brand guide outlining best practices for logo usage, font choices, and a defined color palette to help ensure brand consistency and effectiveness.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
Champlain Tours old website wasn’t mobile friendly, and there was no way to accept secure online payments. Pinnacle Media built a brand new mobile-responsive website that allows for a much more effective way to accept payment and most importantly showcase upcoming tours and services. Since completing the new website and branding for Champlain Tours their business has grown dramatically.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Now that we had effective branding and a high-converting website in place, we went on to put together a multichannel, digital marketing campaign including paid social ads, regular email blasts, and video to attract new customers and garner more tour signups. The results have been phenomenal and Champlain Tours is booking more trips than ever before.
